His sire Makin Moonshine is an AQHA reining and cowhorse performance point earning son of Shining Spark. Most folks already know, if you want a reining horse, you just can't go wrong with a Shining Spark! The 1993 AQHA World Champion Junior Reining stallion, he also boasts NRHA Earnings of $55,170 and AQHA World Show Earnings of $2,489. A Leading NRCHA Sire in 2002, 2004 and 2005, as well as 2001 Leading NRHA Sire, he has offspring including 588 performing foals (as of June 2008) that hold a combined total of 27,391 AQHA points. His foals have earned 17 World Championships, 19 Reserve World Championships, 159 Superior Performance Awards, and 336 Registers of Merit. They have NRHA Earnings of $2,585,954, NRCHA Earnings of $2,076,279, AQHA World Show Earnings of $442,106, NCHA Earnings of $41,238, and the list goes on...

Shining Spark's own sire Genuine Doc is a Reserve World Champion Stallion in Senior Cutting, with $23,922 NCHA Earnings, NCHA Superstakes, AQHA Superior Performance Award, and Sire of offspring including earners of over 13,000 AQHA Points and holding titles of Superhorse, 9 World Championships, 7 Reserve World Championships, 72 Superior Performance Awards, 121 Registers of Merit, and NCHA/NRHA/NRCHA Money Earners of over $1.4 million combined to date. And his dam, AQHA Champion Diamonds Sparkle, was quite an impressive mare as well! She earned 23 Halter Points and 120 Performance Points, with her Superior Performance in Steer Roping. She produced 15 performing foals that earned a combined total of 2,635.5 AQHA points, 4 World Championships, 1 Reserve World Championship, 1 AQHA Champion, 6 Superior Performance Awards, 13 Registers of Merit, and NRHA/NRCHA Earners of $324,703.

As if Sunny's papers weren't outstanding enough, the legendary World Champion Senior Reining and Senior Cutting Stallion Smart Chic Olena also appears on them. He had NCHA Earnings of $110,449, NRHA Earnings of $13,529, and AQHA World Show Earnings of $2,437, and took 3rd place in NCHA Superstakes as well. A Leading NRCHA Sire in 2003 and 2006, he sired 873 performing foals, including earners of 19,709 total AQHA points, 102 Superior Performance Awards, and 429 ROMs. His offspring amassed 13 World Championships, 18 Reserve World Championships, NCHA Earnings of over $2.3 million, NRHA Earnings of over $4.2 million, and NRCHA Earnings in excess of $1.7 million. Add to that almost $356,000 in AQHA World Show winnings, and a variety of other titles and earnings, and you can see why he is considered such an incredible sire.

Smart Chic Olena is by another cutting horse icon, Smart Little Lena. He claimed First Place at the NCHA Cutting Horse Derby in 1983, the NCHA Superstakes in 1983, and the NCHA Cutting Futurity in 1982. It's not surprising he had NCHA Earnings of $577,652, and was named Leading NCHA Sire in 2001 and 2002. His offspring record is nothing short of amazing: 1,243 performing foals, 17 World Championships, 14 Reserve World Championships, 33 Superior Performance Awards, and 8,024 total AQHA combined points earned by his foals. But even more astounding is the money they earned: $30,755,166 in NCHA alone (yes, that's nearly 31 million!) Add to that over $671,000 in NRHA and almost $675,000 in NRCHA earnings, plus another nearly $185,000 in AQHA World Show money, and the true level of success of his foals is inherently clear.

In addition to all these great horses, Sunny's fourth generation also includes a number of others worth mentioning. There's the legendary AQHA Hall of Fame Inductee Doc Bar, whose offspring have earned 6 World Championships, more than $3.2 million in NCHA winnings, and 8,894 total AQHA points. Superior Cutting Mare Gay Bar's Gen took 1st at NCHA Finals, with NCHA LTE of $37,639, and also produced Offspring with NCHA/NRHA combined earnings just shy of $70,000. Mr Diamond Dude earned his Halter ROM, and sired 178 performing foals including offspring with 4,330 total AQHA points, 23 Superior Halter/Performance Awards, 59 ROMs, and combined Earnings of over $50,000. NRHA World Champion/Superior Reining Horse and Hall of Famer Hollywood Jac 86 sired many World and Reserve World Champion reiners, NRHA Money Earners of over $1.6 million, as well as 151 AQHA performing foals holding 52 ROMs and a combined 1,702 total AQHA points. Dude's Bueno Gal was dam of 4 performing foals with 2 Registers of Merit and NRHA Earnings of $116,272. Cutting ROM stallion Pablo San had NCHA Earnings of $10,634, and sired offspring with NCHA Earnings of $292,194 as well as 9 AQHA Registers of Merit. AQHA Champion/Performance ROM True Bar Time had offspring who earned 1,019.5 AQHA points, 6 Superior Performance Awards, 11 ROMs, and 1 World Championship. And AQHA Champion/Performance ROM Topnotch Sonny sired 18 performing foals including earners of 3 Registers of Merit and AQHA World Show/NSBA Money Earners.
